Medeola Linnaeus. Common name: Indian Cucumber-root.
A monotypic genus, an herb of eastern North America.
ID notes: Medeola is sometimes mistaken (when sterile) for Isotria; Medeola has a wiry stem, floccose-pubescent, Isotria a fleshy, glabrous stem.
