*Melaleuca Linnaeus. Common name: Cajeput, Bottlebrush, Punktree.
A genus of about 300 species (if circumscribed, as here, to include Callistemon), trees and shrubs, of tropical and subtropical Australia and nearby Asia and Pacific Islands.
