Pityrogramma Link. Common name: Silverback Fern, Goldback Fern.

A genus of about 20 species, perennial herbs, primarily neotropical.

Glossary (beta!)

ID notes: Pityrogramma are medium to large (to 2 m tall), tufted ferns of moist sites in Florida only in our region. The undersurface of the leaves is conspicuously colored whitish silver or yellow with farina.
