Senegalia Rafinesque. Common name: Acacia, Catclaw.
A genus of about 235 species, trees, shrubs, and lianas, of tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate Americas, Africa, Asia, and rarely Australia. It is likely that Senegalia will be further split and recircumscribed based on its non-monophyly and diverse morphological characters (Terra et al. 2022).
