Yucca pallida McKelvey. Common name: Pale Yucca. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Limestone outcrops, rocky prairies. Distribution: Endemic to c. and nc. TX.
ID notes: This species readily hybridizes with Yucca rupicola at their zone of sympatry in c. TX. These apparent hybrids usually possess pale leaves that are twisted but some plants are also difficult to distinguish between the two in other areas of c. TX. It also hybridizes with Y. arkansana in nc. TX.
