not marked as a favorite taxon Angelica lucida Linnaeus. Common name: Seacoast Angelica, Sea-Watch, Seabeach Angelica. Phenology: May-Sep. Habitat: Beaches and near-shore forests and openings. Distribution: Newfoundland and Labrador south to New York (Long Island); nw. North America, Alaska south to n. California; ne. Asia. Reported by Harvill et al. (1992) for Warren County, Virginia; more information is needed to substantiate this surprising record, presumably from cultivation or a misidentification.
