Heuchera aceroides Rydberg. Common name: Mapleleaf Alumroot. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Shaded calcareous or basic cliffs. Distribution: W. NC and e. TN. In NC, H. aceroides occurs primarily in the sedimentary window around Hot Springs, and is possibly limited to Madison, Buncombe, and Haywood counties.
