*Carex flacca Schreber. Section: [26v] Section 15.5 Thuringiaca. Common name: Glaucous Creeping Sedge. Phenology: Jul. Habitat: Depression in successional woodlands. Distribution: Native of Europe. Reported for Portage County, OH (Riley, Vincent, & Widrlechner 2020).

Origin/Endemic status: Europe

Taxonomy Comments: POWO (2024) recognizes two subspecies, with only ssp. flacca known to be introduced in North America.

Synonymy : = C, Can, FNA23, K4, Mi, NE, NS, NY; > Carex flacca ssp. flacca — POWO. Basionym: Carex flacca Schreb. 1771
