*Acer tataricum Linnaeus ssp. tataricum. Section: Ginnala. Common name: Tartarian Maple. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia.
Origin/Endemic status: Europe
Taxonomy Comments: A number of subspecies are recognized within A. tataricum; with A. ginnala recognized at species rank (as we do here), it is ssp. tataricum that is introduced in North America.
