Dichanthelium pedicellatum (Vasey) Gould. Cedar Witchgrass, Corm-based Witchgrass. Phen: March-Nov. Hab: Dry prairies and open oak woodlands; limestone outcrops. Dist: C. and w. TX south to Mexico (COA, NLE, OAX, TAM) and Central America.

ID notes:Distinguished most readily from similar D. nodatum by its longer internodes and lesser number of culm leaves (4-7 vs. 8-14 in D. nodatum).

Origin/Endemic status: Native
