Vitis novae-angliae Fernald. Common name: New England Grape. Phenology: Jun; Aug-Sep. Habitat: Bottomlands, rich thickets. Distribution: ME and ON south to n. NJ, s. PA, and w. MD.

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is sometimes considered to be the hybrid V. labrusca × riparia. It appears to occur separately from one or both parents, however, and is thus accorded species status.
