Fothergilla parvifolia Kearney. Common name: Kearney's Witch-alder. Habitat: Wet savannas, pocosins, and margins of pocosins, and pitcherplant bogs. Distribution: Inner Coastal Plain (fall-line Sandhills) of SC and inner and outer Coastal Plain of e. GA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (Haynes et al. 2020).
