Vicia ludoviciana Nuttall var. occidentalis (Shinners) B.L. Turner. Common name: Western Louisiana Vetch. Phenology: (Late Feb-) Mar-Apr (-early May); (late Mar-) May-Jun (-Aug). Habitat: Woodlands, grasslands, disturbed areas. Distribution: W. OK, CO, sw. UT, s. NV south to s. TX, NM, AZ, se. CA, and Mexico.
