Crataegus brazoria Sargent. Common name: Brazos River Hawthorn. Phenology: Mar-Apr; Sep-Oct. Habitat: Stream bottoms, brushy uplands, blackland prairies. Distribution: E. TX (Brazoria and Matagorda counties) (Carr 2016).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: The sporadic and localized populations of this taxon may include individuals showing variation from the typical yellow fruit color and near-unlobed leaves, suggesting intraserial intermediacy with other sympatric members of the Molles group. This is an interserial variation that has been insufficiently analyzed.
