Crataegus ×delawarensis Sargent (pro sp.). Delaware Hawthorn. Phen: Apr; Sep-Oct. Hab: Brushy areas. Dist: Endemic to DE.

ID notes: The narrowly ovate or rhombic leaves, subglobose red fruit and whitish anthers are marginally distinctive.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Due to a limited range and intermediate morphology, this taxon is assumed to be of interserial hybrid origin involving some form of C. pruinosa and C. populnea.
