Glossary (beta!)

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A broad view of this species incorporates a range of variation in stamen counts (10-20) and anther color (whitish to reddish), but the small leaf size (15-35 mm) and presence of 3-5 styles and pyrenes are more consistent. Intermediates with sympatric members of the Crus-galli series are suspected, and may account for some of the unresolved taxonomy.
