Crataegus ×tripartita Sargent (pro sp.). Three-parted Hawthorn. Phen: Apr; Sep-Oct. Hab: Lowland woods. Dist: E. TX.

ID notes: Crataegus ×tripartita is noted in its deeply incised leaves on terminal shoots.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: An assumed interserial hybrid involving members of the Virides and Crus-galli series. Similar to C. ×amicalis Sargent of AR, but likely originating from different genotypes of the same serial combination.

Synonymy: = Crataegus tripartita Sarg.
