Smilax hugeri (Small) J.B. Norton ex Pennell. Common name: Huger's Carrionflower. Phenology: Mar-Apr; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Moist deciduous forests. Distribution: S. NC and e. and c. KY south through SC, GA, and AL to Panhandle FL.
