*Hydrocleys nymphoides (Willdenow) Buchenau. Common name: Water-poppy. Habitat: Ponds and canals; cultivated in aquaria and spread by throw-outs. Distribution: Native of Central and South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
