*Persicaria capitata (Buchanan-Hamilton ex D. Don) H. Gross. Section: Cephalopilon. Common name: Pink-head Knotweed. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Disturbed blackland prairies, other disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of s. Asia. See Singhurst, Mink, & Holmes (2013) for additional information about the naturalization of this species in TX. Reported for Orleans Parish, LA. Reported for Montgomery County, AL (Diamond & Keener 2021).

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
