Amsonia illustris Woodson. Ozark Bluestar, Shining Bluestar. Phen: Apr-Jun. Hab: Gravel bars along streams, glades and upland woodlands. Dist: MO and KS south to AR, OK, and TX. Reported for the Coastal Plain of KY, plausible as native there, but perhaps introduced.
