Prionopsis ciliata (Nuttall) Nuttall. Spanish-gold, Wax Goldenweed. Phen: Aug-Oct. Hab: Glades, prairies, roadsides, other disturbed areas. Dist: IA and CO south to LA, TX, NM, AZ, and Mexico; occurrences in IL, MO, AR, and LA are sometimes considered adventive. Reported as a waif in AL by Barger et al. (2019).
