Galearis spectabilis (Linnaeus) Rafinesque. Common name: Showy Orchis. Phenology: Apr-Jun; Jun-Jul. Habitat: Rich, deciduous forests, most typically over calcareous or mafic rocks. Distribution: NB and QC west to MN, south to GA, n. AL, and AR.
