Hab: Bogs, red maple-gum swamps, seeps, and streambanks. Dist: Endemic to KY, e. TN, sw. VA (Lee County, documentation uncertain), w. NC, nw. SC, n. and wc. GA, n. and c. AL, and n. MS, primarily in the Cumberland Plateau.
