Platanthera psycodes (Linnaeus) Lindley. Subgenus: Fimbriella. Common name: Small Purple Fringed Orchid, Butterfly Orchid. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Northern hardwood forests, other moist forests, seepages, bogs. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) and MB, south to n. GA, TN, and MO.
