Distribution: FL peninsula; West Indies; Mexico (CAM, CHP, OAX, ROO, TAB, TAM, VER, YUC), Central America, and South America; Africa; Eurasia; Oceania.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Abildgaardia ovata is in the process of being divided into actual species; our New World material is very unlikely to retain the name A. ovata, which is based on material from India.
