not marked as a favorite taxon Cyperus grayoides Mohlenbrock. Common name: Sand Prairie Flatsedge, Illinois Flatsedge. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, other dry sandy communities. Distribution: Illinois and Missouri south to w. Louisiana and e. Texas.
