Equisetum palustre Linnaeus. Marsh Horsetail. Phen: Jun-Sep. Hab: Marshes, wet meadows, streambanks, often calcareous. Dist: Circumboreal, south in North America to s. MI, IL, ne. SD, ID, and OR. A report from n. NJ appears to be misidentified.
