Vachellia rigidula (Bentham) Seigler & Ebinger. Chaparro Prieto, Blackbrush, Blackbrush Acacia. Phen: Feb-Jul. Hab: Scrub on sandy loam or calcareous soils. Dist: S. and sw. TX south to Mexico.

ID notes: The inflorescences are cylindrical and white to cream-colored.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy: = FNA11.1, K3, K4, Mex; = Acacia amentacea DC. – S13; = Acacia rigidula Benth. – Tx, Isely (1998)
