Pomaria jamesii (Torrey & A. Gray) Walpers. Common name: James's Holdback, Rushpea. Phenology: May-Sep. Habitat: Prairies, grasslands, disturbed areas. Distribution: Nebraska and Colorado south to c. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango); an outlier in sw. Missouri is very likely an introduction.
