Zephyranthes smallii (Alexander) Traub. Common name: Small's Rain-Lily. Phenology: Sep-Oct. Habitat: Low areas. Distribution: Endemic to s. TX (Cameron County), apparently not seen since the 1940s.

Taxonomy Comments: "Correll & Johnston (1970) and Flagg, Smith, & Flory (2002b) postulated a hybrid origin for this species, with Zephyranthes pulchella and Zephyranthes chlorosolen (Cooperia drummondii) the putative parents" (Carr 2016).
