Habenaria distans Grisebach. Common name: Hammock Rein-orchid, False Water-spider Orchid. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Strand swamps, rich, moist hardwood hammocks. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; Mexico, Central America, and n. South America.
