Heterotaxis sessilis (Swartz) F. Barros. Common name: False Butterfly Orchid, Hidden Orchid. Phenology: Sep-Jan. Habitat: Epiphytic in deep slough, often on bark of Annona glabra. Distribution: S. FL (Fakahatchee Strand, Collier County); West Indies; Mexico, Central America, and South America.
