Allium oxyphilum Wherry. Phenology: Aug. Habitat: Shale barrens, on strongly acidic shales. Distribution: Endemic to a small area of WV (Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, and Summers counties) and VA (Alleghany and Craig counties).

Taxonomy Comments: Although there has been much discussion of its taxonomic status, it is apparently distinct from A. cernuum.
