Polygonella myriophylla (Small) Horton. Woody Wireweed, Sandlace, Small’s Jointweed. Phen: Jul-Sep. Hab: White and yellow-sand scrub and xeric sandhills. Also sometimes occurring in scrubby flatwoods and along sandy firelanes adjacent to scrub. Dist: C. FL peninsula, north to Lake and Orange counties. 90% or more of populations occurring on the Lake Wales Ridge.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Other Comments: Often occurring abundantly along disturbed sandy firelanes, where its long-sprawling habitat allows for quick recovery from disturbance.
