Primula fassettii A.R. Mast & Reveal. Common name: Jeweled Shooting-star. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Moist ledges and bluffs over calcareous rocks. Distribution: WI and MN south to IL and MO; disjunct in sc. and se. PA, and MD (Allegany Co.). This species has been reported for ne. WV; those reports are in error.

Taxonomy Comments: P. fassettii is sometimes considered to represent eastern disjunct populations of a western species (see synonymy, and the account in Yatskievych 2013).
