not marked as a favorite taxon Prunus pumila Linnaeus var. pumila. Common name: Great Lakes Sand Cherry. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Endemic to Great Lakes sand dunes and shores. Distribution: Known only in our area from Presque Isle, PA.
