Celtis pallida Torrey var. pallida . Spiny Hackberry, Desert Hackberry, Granjeno. Hab: Dry calcareous thickets, shell middens (FL). Dist: S. FL peninsula; TX west to AZ and southwards into Mexico; n. South America.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Henrickson (2010) has clarified the species nomenclature; var. discolor Hunziker & Dottori is endemic to n. Argentina.
