Amauropelta noveboracensis (Linnaeus) S.E. Fawcett & A.R. Smith. Common name: New York Fern. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Mesic forests, bottomland forests, bogs, submesic forests. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) and WI south to GA, AL, and AR. Reported for MO by Brant (2018).
ID notes: Amauropelta noveboracensis is distinctive in the leaves tapering about equally to both tip and base.
