not marked as a favorite taxon Eurybia compacta Nesom. Common name: Slender Aster. Phenology: Late Jul-Oct. Habitat: Pine savannas, hardpan woodlands, clearings. Distribution: NJ to e. GA, mainly on the Coastal Plain, but also in the lower Piedmont.
