*Eriobotrya Lindley. Subfamily: Amydaloideae. Tribe: Maleae. Subtribe: Malinae. Loquat.
A genus of about 15-30 species, trees and shrubs, native to e. Asia. Liu et al. (2020a) propose merging Eriobotrya into Rhaphiolepis. We here retain Eriobotrya, in part because other, possibly better, taxonomic alternatives are available based on the results of Liu et al. (2020a). The initial name proposed for the only species in our flora was invalid, and a valid name proposed in Liu et al. (2020b).
