Xyris panacea L.C. Anderson & Kral. St. Marks Yellow-eyed-grass. Phen: Late Jun-early Oct. Hab: Mucky depression ponds. Dist: Endemic to FL Panhandle (Wakulla County)

ID notes: This species can co-occur in close proximity to the similar X. fimbriata in Wakulla County, FL. It can be distinguished by its narrower cylindric spikes with smaller exserted fimbriate sepals. It can also be shortly rhizomatous/stoloniferous.
