Carex austrolucorum (J. Rettig) D.B. Poindexter & Naczi. Section: [26bbb] Section 39 Acrocystis. Appalachian Woodland Sedge. Phen: Apr-May. Hab: Xeric to mesic wooded slopes, usually in oak forests and northern hardwood forests. Dist: Sw. VA, s. WV, e. KY south to nw. SC, n. GA and ne. AL.
