Eleocharis elliptica Kunth. Elliptic Spikerush. Phen: Jul-Sep. Hab: Calcareous prairies, fens, shores, riverside scours. Dist: NL (Labrador) west to BC, south to PA, NJ, WV, TN, MO, IA, and ID. Reported for fen habitats in the Ozark portion of MO (J. Thomas, pers. comm., 2020).

Origin/Endemic status: Native
