Chrysopogon pauciflorus (Chapman) Bentham ex Vasey. Florida Goldbeard, Florida Rhaphis. Phen: Mar-Nov. Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills, pine flatwoods, disturbed sandy areas. Dist: FL and Cuba; its occurrence in se. NC (at Carolina Beach State Park) and in Horry County, SC (see Bradley et al. [in prep.]), is plausible either as native, disjunct occurrences or as introductions.
