Dichanthelium strigosum (Muhlenberg ex Elliott) Freckmann var. strigosum . Rough-hairy Witchgrass. Phen: May-Sep. Hab: Moist soils of pine flatwoods, savannas, and pocosins, also in boggy situations. Dist: Se. VA south to FL, west to TX, also in TN, e. Mexico, Mesoamerica, n. South America, and West Indies.
