Digitaria ciliaris (Retzius) Koeler. Southern Crab Grass. Phen: Aug-Oct (-Jul). Hab: Sandy fields, roadsides, and disturbed areas. Dist: MA, se. NY, OH, IN, IL, IA, NE, s. UT and s. CA south into Mexico, Central America, South America, and the West Indies. At least some of the northern distribution is likely adventive.
