*Holcus lanatus Linnaeus. Common name: Velvet Grass, Soft Grass, Yorkshire-fog. Phenology: May-Oct. Habitat: Moist to wet meadows, pastures, disturbed areas, roadsides, hedge-rows, sometimes invasive in bogs, fens, and other natural wetlands. Distribution: Native of Europe.
