Sporobolus floridanus Chapman. Florida Dropseed. Phen: Jun-Oct. Hab: Wet pine savannas. Dist: Se. SC south to ne. FL, west to Panhandle FL. First positively documented for SC in 1995. Earlier attributions of S. floridanus to NC and SC (as by Radford, Ahles, & Bell 1968) were based on misapplication of the name to material actually representing Sporobolus pinetorum.
