Fothergilla milleri W.D. Phillips & J.E. Haynes. Miller's Witch-alder. Phen: Mar-May; Sep-Oct. Hab: Seepy, acid wetlands. Dist: Coastal Plain of wc. GA, s. AL, and Panhandle FL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: See Haynes et al. (2020) for detail. A diploid species (2n=2x=24), and apparently involved as a parental lineage of both F. gardenii and F. major.

Synonymy: = Haynes et al (2020); < Fothergilla gardenii L. – Fl2, FNA3, GW2, K1, K3, K4, WH3, Weaver (1969); >< Fothergilla parvifolia Kearney – S, S13
